Acacia is naturally weather-resistant with oils that repel moisture and resist rot and insect damage. All wooden furniture is pre-treated with protective wood oil, and with proper care lasts 10-20 years outdoors.

Does wooden garden furniture require regular maintenance?

Wooden furniture benefits from seasonal care. Clean the timber 2-3 times per season with warm soapy water, then apply exterior hardwood oil or teak oil once or twice yearly to preserve its rich colour. If you prefer a weathered aesthetic, leave the wood untreated and it will develop a natural silver-grey patina. Store cushions indoors and cover the furniture during winter.

Can wooden furniture stay outside all year?

Yes, acacia and other hardwoods can remain outside year-round in the UK, resisting rot, moisture, and insect damage. For best results, cover with a waterproof cover during the wettest months (October-March) and apply wood oil annually. If left uncovered and untreated, the wood will weather to a silver-grey patina. Store cushions indoors during winter.

Extending mechanisms are smooth and easy to operate with no tools required. When extended, an 8-seater table can accommodate 10-12 guests.
